Miss/Guided – Season 1, Episode 6 – “High School Musical”

A short-sighted Bruce (Chris Parnell) assigns Becky (Judy Greer), who is the least creative faculty member on campus, to direct the school's high school musical.

Miss/Guided – Season 1, Episode 7 – “Frenemies”

Unaware that Becky has eyes for Tim (Kristoffer Polaha), Lisa (Brooke Burns) confides in Becky that her divorce is final and seeks her advice about dating. Meanwhile, Becky intervenes in an unconventional manner when Bruce fives a rebellious student (guest starring Rumer Willis as Shawna) six months' detention for pulling the fire alarm.

Get her, Ray! (ABC)

Marmot: If this show doesn't come back, I'll be sad.

Manatee: Me too. I'm not really sure I liked the 2nd of last night's episodes as a season finale... not sure if that was part strike related or just mid season scheduling. I could use some more Miss Guided!

Marmot: It was a little odd. The musical episode would have been a better season finale. I think this is a great show for ABC, and television could definitely use more quality comedies.

Manatee: All next season's comedies will be BBC remakes, so I like the idea of ABC having as trong original comedy with a FANTASTIC lead actress.

Marmot: She is that indeed. Since we obviously yield power over the television (we did destroy The Return of Jezebel James), shall we formally invite ABC to bring Miss/Guided back in the fall, with a full 22 episode order?

Manatee: Yes.

Jericho, Season 2 - Episode 7 - "Patriots and Tyrants" (Series Finale)

"Boy, did he age?" (CBS Season 1)

Marmot: That's it?

Manatee: That is it my furry friend.

Marmot: What a disappointing ending. I can appreciate that it wasn't your typical "happily ever after" finale, but at least those are endings.

Manatee: I was also disappointed. I know the ratings have been poor, but I felt the show deserved a better finale.

Marmot: I know that they filmed 2 endings - one open, one closed - but with its cancellation, I'm not sure they aired the closed ending.

Manatee: I was surprised by the action. I feel like the pace was rushed at the start (Jake and Hawkins show up at the hotel in 2.5 sec) and then it got unusually slow. Maybe that was the effect of filming 2 different endings? I would like to see the alternative ending - just to see what we missed out on.

Marmot: I would too. Of course, we'll be able to if we buy the Season 2 DVD, with Never Before Seen Ending. I can't imagine how different it would have been, though. Obviously, the Civil War storyline was what they were heading towards.

Manatee: Sure, a Civil War makes sense 2 episodes after they hint at an American Revolution, which I didn't see happen... There was a threat of it, but there was not enough action this season. Oh how I wish they would have spent their VFX money differently, I did not need those fighter jet scenes.

Marmot: Where was Danger Zone? That's what I was most upset about.

Manatee: You know what I am most upset about? The conspiracy is not really solved! If you are going to shape a show around a government conspiracy, have a "mole," and cover ups, I NEED TO KNOW WHO IS RESPONSIBLE! Who is that bald guy? Who is the mysterious John Smith cell voice, the guy makes a 30 sec appearance and gets away! I knew the questions would not be answered when there was only 1 episode left, but that really irks me.

Marmot: Why even introduce someone in that episode? It seems like the guy behind it could have just been the bald guy, the storyline is wrapped up and you could continue on with Season 3 and the Civil War. It’s just kind of a mess.

Manatee: Exactly. And who was that Asian guy? He showed up last night for 10 minutes as an inside spy (which has never been mentioned before) and then dies, and no one blinks.

Marmot: That was so weird. The whole last episode was just weird.

Manatee: Did they even bother to give that guy a name?

Marmot: I don't think so. Okay, so awards for Jericho: “Best Performance:” Brad Beyer as Stanley; “Most Overused Character:” Jake; “Least Cared-About Storyline:” the virus.

Manatee: “Best Nuclear Bomb Villain”: The guy on the phone referred to as John Smith, who never actually has a name

Marmot: “Biggest Disappearance of a Regular Cast Member”: Dale

Manatee: and the Mom.
